It has been one year since the horrible incident of the Boston marathon bombing, I have found an article on how it has effected the politics.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2014/04/19/how-the-marathon-bombings-changed-everything-in-boston-politics/
The article talked about the experience of that day, how the
mayor in office was at the hospital and many runners where in the race that
were going to run for office since the mayor was retiring. After the first bomb
went off people knew to come together and give any help that they could give. The
amount of people who to came together in such short time was truly amazing;
even with the amount of fear I’m sure was surging through their bodies. No one
knew whether the incident was a terrorist attack or if it was planned
specifically to take out some people that were known to be in the race. Between
the bomb happening and till they found the bomber and even for some time after
none of the canidents knew whether they could return to campaigns or not. After
a few months campaigns were back up and running with many playing up the fear
of the marathon Monday. The winner for new mayor made his speech and coined the
phrase “Boston Strong”. This just goes to show how we can use fear to get a head
in life.
